Massachusetts Company To Build $700 Million Plant In New York
A new $100,000 SF $700 million solar wafer plant from Massachusetts is heading to Genesee County, NY and will be employing 600 to 1,000 new jobs. Two primary reasons cited for the location decision was low cost hydro power and workforce. Another reason was the availability of a large shovel ready site at newly developed STAMP park. NYS allocated $33 million in incentives to the project from the Buffalo Billion funding.
