Hi Everyone! It is rapidly approaching a holiday weekend here in the States (and the last SUMMER holiday weekend!), so I'd rather do something a bit fun than my normal "business/productivity" Timely Tip. And, I have a large number of new subscribers over recent months, so I'd like to revisit a Timely Tips I did a couple years ago that many of them have not seen yet. This Timely Tip will not only save you time -- it has the potential to greatly add to your fun too!

This Month's Timely Tips: Packing Lists for The Beach, Camping Trips, Personal Trips, and Business Trips
| This is where you can always find your Timely Tip.
One of my favorite segments in my Outlook and/or Google and/or Smart Phone/Tablet Time Management courses is when I show how I keep bunches of lists to track information I need so I can easily find/use it when I need it. AND, of those lists, perhaps my favorite are my packing lists. What is a packing list? Simple -- a compiled list of all of the stuff you need to pack if you are about to embark on a specific type of trip. Now, if you are really slick, you'll keep several of these on your phone or tablet, in some sort of a note in your Evernote, Google Docs, and/or Office 365. And then, whenever you need to pack for one of these trips, you simply pull up the note you need on your phone and/or tablet (which is of course right there with you), and pack for your trip! This is not rocket science, but it is nonetheless a great idea. And, here are four of MY favorite pack lists, in PDF format, which you can use as the base to create your own personalized packing lists: Enjoy your more fun and complete upcoming weekend!! (Disclaimer: I am not claiming these lists are full or complete -- but they do help! If you can think of a few additional items you would add to any of these lists, please e-mail back to me your ideas at randy@randalldean.com.) |
A Big Announcement Coming Soon ...
| Last month, I told you about my new contracts to make available streaming versions of my most popular live programs through two separate Silicon-Valley-based continuing education/professional development firms. Well, two of these programs are recorded, posted and pretty much ready to launch -- we are just finalizing the last few details. I expect I'll have info for you on these first two programs, possibly as early as next week.
And very soon after that, I may have as many as 3-5 more programs coming online. Pretty exciting times!!! More info on this coming soon. Watch for your next Timely Tips for more.

I will actually be using that "Beach Trip" packing list above sometime this weekend (because I know how to celebrate a summer holiday.) ;-) Hope you all know how to celebrate a summer holiday too!
Until next time, Stay Timely!

App of the Month
TrackR
| TrackR -- available both on ITunes and GooglePlay, but to learn more, click here.
If you are like me, and have an issue with misplacing your wallet, keys, phone, or your TV remote, rejoice. You have a solution -- the TrackR.
TrackR's are little coin-sized buttons you stick to your frequently-lost stuff, and then you can find them using your phone or tablet.
The idea is simple, and the solution is elegant -- check out their web site right here:
http://bravo.thetrackr.com/
Of interest, they tried to raise $20,000 on IndieGoGo to launch this, and instead raised $1.2 million. I'm apparently not the only one losing my keys now and then! ;-)
And one little thing I did note -- it appears they have sold so many, they are on a bit of a backorder right now -- maybe as much as a couple months. There are some other similar products out there, but these appear to have the best, slimmest design.

In case you missed it, I have an updated demo video!
| I put together a new demo video at the request of several of my agents & bureaus -- you can see it here (I recommend you expand it to full screen -- it even has a couple Outlook & Gmail tips!):

Welcome your thoughts! (And please feel free to share!)
