Support the Resolution to Amend the
FY16 Fuel/Energy Tax
|
The Fuel/EnergyTax is the third highest source of tax-generated revenue in the FY16 Montgomery County Operating Budget and is paid disproportionately by non-residential consumers. MCCC supports a Resolution to Amend the FY 16 Fuel/Energy Tax.

ACTION: Contact Council Members before Wednesday, May 13
|
Thank Council members Nancy Floreen, Roger Berliner and Sidney Katz for their support of a resolution to reduce the FY 16 Fuel/Energy Tax by 10% to mitigate the negative impact on the business community. At Thursday's T&E/GO committee, the resolution DID NOT CARRY. The full council will meet on Wednesday, May 13 to debate the issue in a work session.
Call or email members of the County Council to let them know the Fuel/Energy tax is bad public policy because it does not support economic development.
Take one minute to make a call or send an email to let the County Council know this energy tax hurts business in Montgomery County.
