AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL:

  • Action Alert: The U.S. Small Business Administration has two open comment periods for proposed rule changes: SBA Proposed Rules to Implement NDAA limitations on subcontracting and SBA Proposed Rule to Create a New Mentor-Protege Program for All Small Businesses.   • Congressman John Delaney Visits MCCC: On Wednesday, February 18, The Board of Directors welcomed Congressman John Delaney (MD-6) for a round table discussion on tax reform and infrastructure investment. Members learned about his proposal for "Infrastructure 2.0". Read more about Delaney's bill here.
     

     
 
AT THE STATE LEVEL:

  • Secretary Mike Gill Visits MCCC: At the Board of Directors Meeting on February 25, Department of Business & Economic Development (DBED) Secretary Mike Gill shared his experience and ideas for making Maryland 'open for business'. He said he looks to MCCC members as his "Advisory Board". 


AT THE COUNTY LEVEL:

  • Budget: On March 16, County Executive Leggett is expected to release his proposal for the FY 2016 budget. Watch for more information from MCCC.
