Open Comment Period:
Pay Transparency for Government Contractors
On September 17, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) of the Department of Labor released a proposed rule that would prohibit federal contractors from maintaining pay secrecy policies. The proposed rule would bar employers from discriminating or firing an employee because they talked or inquired about their pay to someone else. Contractors would also be required to disseminate this new provision to employees and job applicants. Submit comments here by December 16, 2014.

The U.S. Small Business Administration recently received comments on a proposed rule to change size standards for a number of industries. The results of the comment period are not yet available but the MCCC GovConNet Council continues to follow this issue. For more information, visit the SBA website for news and updates on size standards
