MCCC along with other local chambers is working to amend the bill on issues of timing, notification, penalties and exemptions.

Benchmarking Working Group

MCCC participated in an inaugural meeting organized by the Department of Environmental Protection as part of Bill 2-14: Environmental Sustainability - Energy - Building Benchmarking which passed earlier this year. The bill requires that Montgomery County begin the benchmarking process in its own facilities before rolling out the program to commercial properties.  To find out more information or to get involved, visit the DEP web page devoted to the issue.
