A Plan for Business Competitiveness

Georgette "Gigi" Godwin

President & CEO

"For the past six months, the MCCC Business Climate and Tax Structure Working Group has focused on the importance of business competitiveness. Chaired by Board of Directors and Executive Committee member Jim Martinko and composed of experts in their fields, the group has contributed to the advancement of Chamber positions. The recentLetter to the Editor in the "Baltimore Sun" by Senate President Thomas Mike Miller and Speaker of the House Michael Busch signals a growing awareness of these issues in Annapolis. The MCCC working group will continue to offer input on how public policy can leverage Maryland's strategic assets to ensure a robust business community and a vibrant economy."
