Dear Yavneh Family,

Anyone who has ever been on the March of the Living, or had a family member participate, knows just how powerful the experience is.  In short, the March exemplifies the power of "experiential education," the well-established notion that, in order to really grasp a concept, idea or theme, one must "do it" and "be there." For our Yavneh senior class (with Jewish friends from Greenhill and public school), it has already been a journey that none of them will ever forget.  Our deepest gratitude to trustee Pam Fine and Rabbi Tannenbaum, together with Holocaust survivor and Yavneh grandparent Max Glauben, for their leadership of this experience of a lifetime.

Here on campus, we were honored to have Cantor Zhrebker, together with Rabbi Lomner and a group of students, lead us in a meaningful program and service.  The students read passages from wartime diaries and struck an appropriately solemn note as we, as the Yavneh community, vowed together, "Never forget - never again!"

It is indeed good to be back together following Pesach break. Our students and faculty are back to the serious work of academics and participation in Jewish Life, and we appreciate your support of our students and programs.
