GREETINGS! Massachusetts is rich in arts & culture, so it's no surprise that exciting events, exhibits and festivals are held in the state's 16 regions all year long. Find out more below!
QUICK TAKE: "America's Hometown." SEE & DO: Start at "The Rock", an enduring symbol of the intrepid colonists' arrival in 1620, then climb aboard Mayflower II, a full-scale replica of the ship that brought them to their new life. Plimoth Plantation tells the compelling story of the colonists and the Native Wampanoag people. Explore the town on foot with Colonial Lantern Tours. Head out for a thrilling whale watch trip or a deep-sea fishing adventure with Captain John Boats. EAT & SLEEP: Treat yourself to the bold flavors of Sabor. Pamper yourself at the John Carver Inn & Spa. Or arrive, like the Pilgrims, by sea and stay overnight on your vessel at Brewster Plymouth Marine. Photo courtesy Plimoth Plantation
