November may be too early for holiday baking and decorating, but it's the perfect time to shop for beautifully handcrafted gifts. Artisans' talent is on display-and available for purchase-at Paradise City Arts Festival, named one of the "Top 10 Art and Craft Fairs in America!" It features 175 exhibitors November 16-18 at Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough. On November 30 and December 1, visit artists in their Framingham workspaces at Fountain Street Open Studios Weekend, featuring gifts ranging from greeting cards to major pieces of art.

In MetroWest, shopping is such an art form that the Framingham History Center has created a fun and nostalgic exhibit saluting the history of Shoppers World, the nation's first outdoor mall that forever changed the way Americans shopped. It opens on November 16th!
