Washington State delegation attends APA's State Leadership Conference

APA Council Explores Renewal Through "Good Governance Project"

Insights on Group Practice 
While many psychologists are still solo practitioners, a growing number of clinicians find value in being part of a group practice. Eastside Psychological Associates is an expanding group practice that is home to several WSPA members.

WSPA Joins NAMI in Annual Walk for Mental Health

Members of WSPA are invited to join with NAMI May 17, 2014 in its Annual NAMI Walk of Washington to benefit mental health awareness.  The NAMI Walk of Washington is the primary fundraising event for NAMI Eastside Affiliate, NAMI Greater Seattle Affiliate and Washington State's 21 other county-level Affiliates. 
National Experts Present WSPA Suicidality Event June 7
WSPA will present a 6 CE program designed to address the new state requirements of HB 2366, June 7, 2014. Providing 6 hours of continuing education credit for assessing, managing and treating suicidality, 3 credits will focus on pediatric care and 3 in adult care.

The Practice Task Force, led by Dr. William Thorbecke, is comprised of association members who discuss issues relevant to the practice of psychology, share information about the changing practice environment, and prepare for healthcare reform.  You are invited to join the Practice Task force and lend your voice to these important issues.

Board of Trustees Meets March 14th, 2014
The Board of Trustees met for the first time Feb.1 for orientation and its first business meeting. The next Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for March 14, 1 to 3p.m. in Seattle, at the Coast Pacific Hotel board room, at SeaTac.   For minutes and a video from the first meeting
