Minnesota Horse Council Summary 

 

Jul 25, 2013:  Senate Amendment Threatens Recreational Trails Program.  http://www.mnhorsecouncil.org/senate%20amendment%20threatens%20r

.  An amendment to the Transportation,
Housing and urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act will
strip all funding from the Recreational Trail Program.  The RTP provides funding
directly to the states for recreational trails and trail facilities.  Sen. Rand Paul
(R-KY..S.Amdt 1742).  Am. Horse Council urges all recreational riders and trail
users to call their Senators and ask them to vote no on S-amdt 1742 to S.1243.

 

7/27/2013:  Horse of the Year is a new MHC program with its focus on service
horses both living and in memoriam.
