Perspectives on the
Intersection of Culture and Health

As part of its ongoing commitment to the issue of inequality, the School of Communication and Media will present on April 8 an important program on the ways culture can impact health and health communication in our society. Leading the conversation will be Dr. Michael Hecht, a visiting scholar in the School of Communication and Media, and health experts Dr. Jennifer Warren and Dr. Olajide Williams. Following a panel discussion, there will be three breakout sessions that present community-based initiatives that address health disparities and promote healthy behaviors.

The event will be held on April 8, and run from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm on the seventh floor Conference Center in University Hall. For additional details and registration, check our events page here.
