Acupuncture for Pain Relief

Acupuncture has been used for centuries to treat pain. Acupuncture pain treatments trigger energy flow within the body to help relax constricted, spasming muscles and relieve pain and inflammation in problem areas.

Acupuncture for Low Back Pain

Lower back pain is one of the most common pain related complaints these days, and one of the most frequently treated by acupuncturists. Back pain can be attributed to a variety of different issues, and a pain relief acupuncturist may employ a number of different techniques to address the pain, including the needling of various acupuncture points around the body.

It is believed that stimulation of these areas can help promote the release of "feel good" chemicals in the brain, muscles, and spinal cord and help ease pain and promote healing.

Acupuncture for Arthritis Pain

Arthritis pain can be debilitating and downright crippling to some individuals, which can make it hard to participate in day to day activities. Acupuncture benefits the joints, relieves pain and inflammation, helps strengthen the body, and has been proven to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

Through the careful placement of needles into specific points around the body, acupuncture can help to relax tight, spasming muscles and bring them back to their pain-free, natural state. Acupuncture can also help alleviate the other symptoms associated with arthritis, including insomnia, headaches, stiff neck, fatigue and irritability.

Activities such as staring down at your mobile device or computer screen for long periods, sleeping the wrong way, or poor posture can wreak havoc on the neck and shoulders.

Acupuncture is commonly used to treat neck pain, or cervicalgia, and the results can be amazing and long-lasting. Many patients find that acupuncture treatments greatly reduce, and oftentimes completely resolves the neck pain with which they have been suffering.

Acupuncture for Sciatica

The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body. The condition referred to as sciatica is experienced whenever something impinges upon this nerve causing mild to severe pain, discomfort, or a pins-and-needles type of sensation that can radiate from the area of the lower back, down the side or back of the leg, and in some cases, all the way down to the toes.

Acupuncture alone, or used in conjunction with other modalities, can help to greatly reduce the pain and discomfort caused by sciatica, and in many cases, resolve the problem completely.

Acupuncture for Migraines and Headaches

Migraines and headaches range in severity and moderation, and in extreme cases, can even cause nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light. There are three common types of headaches:

Tension headaches: The most common type of headache is the tension headache, which can range from a slight sensation of pressure to mild or moderate levels of pain.

Migraines: These are severe to moderate throbbing or pulsating head pains that often occur on one side of the head.

Chronic headaches: Chronic headaches are migraines or tension headaches that happen every day or just about every day.

A pain relief acupuncturist can help with each of these types of headaches, be they acute or chronic conditions. Patients suffering with mild or even severe or migraine headache conditions often claim that acupuncture is the only healing modality that provides them with any kind of complete or long-lasting relief from what can be quite debilitating episodes of pain and discomfort.

The healing modality of acupuncture has been relied upon for centuries to treat pain of all kinds. Acupuncture pain relief treatments are proven to be safe and have none of the side effects associated with the many drugs and medical procedures currently used to treat similar conditions.

With acupuncture, results may vary from person to person; but the benefits can be immediate and long-lasting. If you have found that you are not getting the results you are looking for with other pain relief treatments, and are seeking effective pain relief in New Jersey, consider acupuncture.
