According to a report by the American Mental Health Counselors Association, states that are not expanding Medicaid are set to leave millions of Americans without health insurance.  Of the estimated 3.7 million who will fall into this category, 2.7 million come from 11 southern states

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, rates of obesity among children ages 2-5 have dropped from 14% to 8% between 2003 and 2012.  Celebrating this news, First Lady Michelle Obama stated, "I am thrilled at the progress we've made over the last few years in obesity rates among our youngest Americans.  Healthier habits are beginning to become the new norm."
