Evergreen Veterinary Hospital Grand Opening

On April 2nd, the Evergreen-Conecuh Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed the physicians and staff of Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Hal Noble, Dr. Troy Jones, and Dr. Lewis Jones are providing a valuable service in our community by helping to improve the quality of life for pets and their owners.
The Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is located at 102 Hillcrest Drive in Evergreen. Hours are 7:30am-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 7:30am-12noon on Wednesday. The Clark's making announcement official with Commissioner Johnny Andrews and Mayor Pete Wolff
Andrew Clark and his wife, Jenni, will be opening a retail store at Liberty Hill Park when construction is completed.
They will offer fine jewelry and quality men's and women's apparel. The original Weaver's is located in Brewton, AL, and the Evergreen store will be a second location for them.

We had a great time learning about what My Herb Shop has to offer at our Business After Hours on Thursday, April 25!

Youth Leadership Conecuh County youth leadership
Learning beyond the classroom, these Conecuh County students toured the historic Depot, also home to the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development offices, in April. The Youth Leadership Conecuh County program provides these students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to become more effective leaders.

The students attend 5 sessions throughout the year: An Overview of Leadership and Goal Setting; City & County Government, Local History and Culture;  Economic Development & Preparing for Job Seeking; Law & Education; and State Government.  During the State Government session they will go to Montgomery and visit with the Governor, Representatives, and Senators.

Workplace Violence Seminar wv May 15
Stop Workplace Violence Before it Starts

Workplace violence is defined as violence or the threat of violence against workers. Today, it is a growing concern for employers and employees nationwide. - www.osha.gov
On Wednesday, May 15, the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Workplace Violence Seminar at The Depot from 12-1pm for Chamber members.
Our guest speakers have studied and have been trained on this topic. You will hear from Lynda Davis, Coordinator for Business & Industry Training at Reid State Technical College, and Mike Ellis, Detective, Evergreen Police Department.  You will learn: Warning Signs, How to Develop a Culture of Awareness, Employer and Employee Responsibility.
