Liberty Hill Groundbreaking The retail development at Exit 96 on I-65 is underway! The groundbreaking is official with County Commissioner Raz McCreary, Commission Chairman David Cook, Jr., City Councilman Luther Upton, Evergreen Mayor Pete Wolff III, Councilwoman Vivian Fountain, State Representative Harry Shiver, Councilwoman Diane Skipper, and Councilman John Skinner doing the honors on the morning of March 25.

New Healthcare Services at EMC emc diagnostics
Previously Evergreen Medical Center provided MRI services once a week, but now outpatient MRI is available Monday-Friday at EMC Diagnostics. A physician's order is required for all radiology procedures, except mammogram screenings. To schedule an appointment, call 251-578-0146.

Suzzanne Skipper's pastel drawing, Myra, won 1st Place at the Arts Revive Competition in Selma, AL. 66 other Alabama artists competed for top honors.
Award winning artists in Evergreen! Three local artists are enriching our community through their work at Suzzanne Skipper Studios.
Suzzanne Skipper was awarded free tuition valued at $425 to attend the Art of the Portrait Convention in Atlanta from April 25-28.
Connie Kilpatrick has prints available of her original Hot Air Balloons in Natchez. You can view the original painting at the studio.

Castleberry Receives New Planters Downtown

The Castleberry Garden Club and Castleberry Strawberry Festival Committee recently placed 10 new concrete planter boxes downtown Castleberry in an effort to beautify the town.
The two organizations would like to thank Poarch Creek Indians, United Bank, Castleberry Wood Products, Genesis Oil, Plains America Oil, and Hornady Transportation for donating to the cause.

What a great night! Thanks to Rev. Willie Willis, Mayor Pete Wolff, III, guest speaker Alva Lambert, Executive Director of the State Health Planning and Development Agency, and Chamber Board Members for taking part in the meeting & banquet. A special thanks to those businesses who donated door prizes and contributed to the success of the event!
Three nominees for the 2012 Business Leader of the Year were honored: Bill Cope of Cope Funeral Home and Cope Flower Shop, Mike Lanier of Evergreen Concrete, and John Skinner of John's Paint & Body Shop, with John Skinner taking home the coveted award.
