Make-A-Wish celebrated a special wish at Miranda's Princess Ball
On March 1st, Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario threw a party to remember for a very special little girl.
Miranda, 4, who suffers from Kostmann Syndrome, wished to be a princess for a day and we threw an event fit for royalty.
Miranda and her family had the surprise of a lifetime when they walked into the ballroom at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and were welcomed by a bugler and several Mounties saluting the guest of honour.
The Governor General sent a statement of congratulations and Deputy Mayor Mark Taylor presented Miranda with her very own princess crown.
There were many more surprises in store throughout the day and Miranda's family were blown away by the experience.
Miranda's mom Lynn told Ed Hand on 1310News:
"Thanks to everyone who donates to the Make-A-Wish Foundation because it makes a huge impact on not just Miranda but the family too. I want to say thank you so much."
You can help make a difference in the life of a child like Miranda
as they face a life-threatening medical condition.
Please consider making a donation in support of our wish-granting mission. Thank you!
