Rope for Hope Success for Our Rappellers

Thank you to everyone who came out on June 28th to help make our first annual Make-A-Wish^® Rope for Hope event a success!

Make-A-Wish is holding Rope for Hope events across the country. With the help of our rappellers here in Eastern Ontario our goal is to raise $1 million nationally to support wish granting in Canada.

Avery's Wish to Have a Hot Tub Avery, 5, life threatening genetic disorder, got his wish to have a hot tub! Family and friends gathered in Perth, ON over the Canada Day long weekend and were there to surprise Avery in his back yard. Team Tysen from Tysen's Mission to A Million in support of Make-A-Wish^® Eastern Ontario helped raise the funds to make this wish possible, and came out to wish Avery well. Special thanks to Marquis Spas, Sani-Sol Pool & Spa, West End Forming and Tysen's Mission to a Million for helping to grant this wish. Enjoy your new hot tub Avery!	Make-A-Wish^® Eastern Ontario Open House This past month, Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario opened its doors. On June 26th we held our very first Open House event at our 92 Bentley Avenue office in Nepean. We got many compliments on our open concept office space on the top floor. For those of you who have never visited us, we share a beautiful space with Cohen and Cohen and get lots of natural light! It was wonderful to catch up with our friends and supporters. Of course, any excuse to put out massive amounts of food is a good thing, if you ask us! Thanks to everyone who dropped in to pay us a visit.	Jim Joyce Memorial Golf Tournament June 12th was the First Annual Jim Joyce Memorial Golf Tournament. Jason Westwood has organized golf fundraisers for the past 3 years. This year he named the event in honor of a colleague who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. The tournament raised $4,385. "It was a very successful day, having so many people come out and support a great charity," said Jason. "I look forward to organizing another golf tournament in order to help a family in our community." Thank you to Jason and all of the participants for your support!
