Denver Arts Week 2012
The sixth annual Denver Arts Week is an eight-day celebration of all things art in the Mile High City, running from November 2-10, 2012. The program, presented by VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, features more than 300 events at a wide variety of art galleries, museums, theaters and concert halls. To learn more and see everything the cultural community has to offer please visit Denver Arts Week.

Each year, the Visiting Artist Series brings several notable artists to the League to teach master classes, which supplement existing ongoing classes and workshops. This extraordinary opportunity allows students and artists from the community to work with and learn from some of today's most significant working artists.

How Books Become Sculpture

Join Visiting Artist Bonnie Stahlecker as she discusses the evolution of her work from traditional book formats to the richly designed surfaces of her wall-hung sculptures.

MASTER CLASS | Embossed Leather Journal
BONNIE STAHLECKER
Ability: All Levels 
The embossing process starts with a linocut relief that becomes your embossing plate, creating depth and dimension on the leather that is further enhanced with painting and other surface treatments. Learn to make a sewn text block with a lined spine and simple sewn-on headbands as you create a one-of-a-kind journal to record your unique perspective.

On Saturdays throughout the year, our talented faculty will offer demonstrations in their medium at the Art Students League or at the venues of our Demo series partners. All sessions are free for members of the Art Students League and $5 for the public. Pre-registration is not required, although seating is limited.
