Greetings!
As the 2013 season draws to a close, we have a flurry of activity to keep us in memories for the long winter ahead.
As you may know, while some of you have been gadding about representing the Club in Germany and Guernsey, I have been welcoming my first grandchild to the world, as well as representing the Club nearer to home.
Diana and I ran a session at Stratton on the Fosse Village Day, and I attended the International Older Person's Day at St John's Hospital, where I talked pétanque with lots of visitors, including Don Foster MP.
Our teams are still battling it out in the Brunel League and we had a spectacular finals night and dinner for the Thursday Boules League.
Our big news is, of course, our project to build a large terrain at Larkhall Sports Club with the use of their clubhouse. Many thanks to those of you who came to the Club on 12th September, your input has been very useful, and your committee is now getting on with detailed talks with the LSC and with raising the necessary funds.
You will see from the calendar on the left that we have quite a few events coming up - a mêlée in Queen Square, the Club Dinner and the AGM among them. I look forward to seeing you at these, so do sign up and come along!

Club Tour to Germany
October 1st to 6th 2013
The club undertook its second tour to Germany this month and Terry Basson, new to the club since the last tour, has contributed a detailed article of our trip to both Braunschweig and Bremen, including our "private jet" from Bristol to Hanover.
