EVP's Desk - More Member Benefits for YOU!

Today is my one year anniversary as the Executive Vice President of Duval County Medical Society. When I started one year ago, I promised that I would make member value a top priority. Today, I am pleased to announce three great new member benefits which could save you and your practice thousands of dollars, and also help provide compassionate care to the uninsured and underserved in Northeast Florida as well.

  • My Office Products - Save 10% - 30% off of the items you already buy for your office from paper supplies to furniture. My Office Products will create a customized list of products you use most and generate savings just for you and your practice. Additionally, DCMS will donate 1% of every dollar you spend to We Care Jacksonville.
  • AmerAssist - Debt collection is a part of every medical practice. Make it a smaller part by using this DCMS endorsed provider with low flat-fee rates and industry leading recovery rates. Additionally, DCMS will donate 1% of every dollar you spend to We Care Jacksonville.
  • World Pay - Is your credit card processing system HIPAA compliant? If you don't know the answer, it probably is not. DCMS has partnered with World Pay, the industry leader at HIPAA compliant data transmission. Sign up for service with World Pay to receive $50 off your 2014 DCMS Dues. Additionally, DCMS will donate 1% of every dollar you spend to We Care Jacksonville.
For more details on how to sign up for these cost-saving member benefits, call me at 353-7536 or send me an email at bcampbell@dcmsonline.org.

2013 Doctor of the Day Program

The 2013 legislative session is just one month away and the FL Office of Legislative Services will once again be coordinating the Doctor of the Day program.  For those of you who might not be familiar with this program, since the 1960's, the Florida Legislature's Doctor of the Day program has provided lawmakers with medical care during the legislative session while serving to strengthen physician-legislator relations. During each of the 60 days of session, two physicians - one for the House of Representatives and one for the Senate - provide any necessary care to legislators, their staff members, and others at the Capitol. FMA, County Medical Society and Specialty Society member participation in the Doctor of the Day program not only provides a valuable service, but also continues a noble tradition. The 2013 legislative session begins on Tuesday, March 5 and is scheduled to end on Friday, May 3.
