2013 Doctor of the Day Program

 

The 2013 legislative session is just two months away and the FL Office of Legislative Services will once again be coordinating the Doctor of the Day program.  For those of you who might not be familiar with this program, since the 1960's, the Florida Legislature's Doctor of the Day program has provided lawmakers with medical care during the legislative session while serving to strengthen physician-legislator relations. During each of the 60 days of session, two physicians - one for the House of Representatives and one for the Senate - provide any necessary care to legislators, their staff members, and others at the Capitol. FMA, County Medical Society and Specialty Society member participation in the Doctor of the Day program not only provides a valuable service, but also continues a noble tradition. The 2013 legislative session begins on Tuesday, March 5 and is scheduled to end on Friday, May 3.

St. Vincent's Clay County Receives Donation from Reinhold Foundation and Family

 

St. Vincent's HealthCare is proud to announce a generous gift from the Reinhold Foundation and the Reinhold Family, longtime friends of St. Vincent's HealthCare. The donation will help support the construction of St. Vincent's Medical Center Clay County, which will officially open its doors to the people in Clay County in October of this year.

The St. Vincent's HealthCare Foundation will recognize the Reinhold Foundation and Reinhold Family gift with the naming of the Medical Mall at St. Vincent's Clay County.  It will be named in recognition and memory of the family's grandparents, Paul E. and Klare N. Reinhold. Major services such as imaging and surgery will be accessed from the Paul E. & Klare N. Reinhold Medical Mall.
