On February 24, we'll present Academy Awards best-picture nominee "Captain Phillips." There will be no film on February 17 (Presidents Day).
Upcoming Displays
Don't miss your last chance to see the stunning annual quilt display, which is being taken down on February 6.

This month, look for two new displays, the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society exhibit of paintings in the stacks, which runs from February 3 through 24, and the City of Sedona Design Competition for Barbara's Park exhibit table, on display from February 21 through March 22.
Tweens and Teens Get "Hooked" on the Library
Ami-gur...what? Amigurumi is a Japanese word that refers to the art of making small, cute stuffed animals with crochet.

During the month of February, tweens and teens will learn how to create creatures with crochet at the Library. The Youth Services department will kick off the crafting activities with Tween Tuesdays every Tuesday in February from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Kids will be taught the basic stitches and how to read a pattern and will be able to finish their own amigurumi animal by the second class. The teens will get a chance to try their hand at crochet on Saturday, February 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Teens that get "hooked" on the art are welcome to join us on Tween Tuesdays to make more! If you have any spare yarn or crochet needles available for donation, the tweens and teens of Sedona will put them to good use!
