Farewell to Sedona Library Staff and Patrons
We all know that in any chapter of life, there is always going to be an ending, a time to say goodbye. In my case, it is with mixed feelings that I announce my resignation. On the Marcela Saldivia one hand, I'm happy about new beginnings and a fresh start; on the other hand, I'm sad to be leaving such a great working environment and such excellent colleagues.

I came to work for Sedona Public Library in October 2008, and this year I would have completed my fifth anniversary as Latino Services and Assistant Reference Librarian. It has been a unique experience sharing every day with library staff members, volunteers, and patrons.

There are a number of people to whom I'm grateful for their encouragement and professional support as well as for their friendship and personal advice. I cannot name them all because the list would be a very large one, so let me just say that I was happy to work closely with you and I know that we will remain friends. Thank you all for making my time at the Library a very enjoyable one.

Sincerely, Marcela Saldivia
June Movies at the Library
Movies The Flicker Shack film series at the Library will present free movies every week in June at 6 p.m. in the Si Birch Community Room. The Latino Services movie will be shown on June 3. On June 10, we'll screen a feel-good film starring Maggie Smith and Judi Dench about a group of British seniors who move to a hotel in India to make the most of their retirement savings. The Academy-Award nominee for best picture that tells the story of the hunt for Osama bin Laden will be shown on June 17. As part of the teen summer reading program, the June 24 screening will be a spoofy horror/comedy film featuring a zombie theme: adults are also welcome to attend!
