It's nice to see spring finally showing as the final snow melts. This weekend we celebrate Mother's Day. Throughout our lives we are provided much support for our journey and mothers are central to that equation. We come into the world through them and are supported in different ways by them.

 

I would like to take this opportunity on the 2014 Mother's Day weekend to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude for my mother, Nancy Hasick, for her lifetime of support. She passed away on February 22 this year and has left a noticeable gap in our lives (see obituary). 

 

She was a central support to help navigate my education, career decisions and other important life challenges.  She was also my first receptionist at the Britannia Clinic and instrumental in helping set the foundation for the clinic that, 34 years later, continues to provide support for many patients who visit our practice. The spirit of her service and care is still felt and noticed in many ways.  

 

Since 1980, we have worked to support the well-being of all the patients who seek our service. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to provide this care for so many and feel honored and humbled to continue.

 

I wish everyone a joyous and healthy spring and for those mothers who offer so much support that often goes unnoticed, may you feel celebrated on this upcoming Mother's Day.
