Diane Adams, assistant professor in the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences, received the 2015 Bergmann Memorial Award, which recognizes promising young scientists who are recipients of new grants from the United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF). This award was established in February 1976 to honor E.D. Bergmann, an organic chemistry researcher who played a leading role in establishing the BSF. Read More �

March is National Nutrition Month, which is celebrated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics by focusing attention on healthy food choices. This year's theme, Savor the Flavor of Eating Right, harnesses the idea of taking the time to enjoy food traditions and appreciate the pleasures, great flavors and social experiences food can add to our lives. Alumna Jessica Ware (GSNB-Entomology '08), biology professor at Rutgers Newark, is lead author of a study looking at the mixing of genes of the dragonfly Pantala flavescens across vast geographic expanses. Jeannette Rea Keywood, State 4-H agent in the Department of 4-H Youth Development, was awarded the Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) Award for Excellence-Extension Faculty at a year-end ceremony by Larry Katz, director of RCE and senior associate director of NJAES. According to Katz, dedication to and passion for the youth development profession has been a distinguishing characteristic of Keywood's career. Read More �
