Have your vehicle inspected FREE by the men of Riverbend.  These men, including former mechanics, will check your hoses, belts, fluid levels, lights, air pressure, etc. They will even add oil, window washer, transmission fluid, brake fluid, air pressure--if there is a need.

It all happens Saturday, April 9, in the parking lot near the gazebo. The men will be there during 9 a.m.-noon.  If you haven't stopped by before, give it a shot.  You will enjoy the fellowship, and both you and your car will feel safer, too.  

	Seth & Lauren Shealy

Seth Shealy, a member of the faculty-staff at Armwood High School in the Tampa suburb of Seffner, has accepted the position of Dean of Students at Riverbend Academy, according to Pastor Jason Karr, the headmaster.

Seth, who also currently oversees the Youth Discipleship Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church in nearby Mango, Fla., is scheduled to begin his new role in June. He replaces Aaron Johnsen, who earlier this year accepted the call to become Director of Youth Ministries at Riverbend. Aaron will continue to serve in a part-time role at the Academy, teaching one course and serving as assistant Dean of Students.

Seth and wife Lauren, who have been married nearly two months, are planning to be at Riverbend on Sunday, April 10, as they begin preparations for their move.

Conner Menez, starting pitcher at The Master's College in Newell, Calif., and the son of Riverbend Senior Pastor Scott and Gina Menez, is currently the ace of Mustangs' staff. The 6-3 left-hander, who draws professional scouts to each of his games, owns a 7-2 won-lost record. In 64 innings pitched, Conner has struck out 67 batters, walked only 21 and posts a 2.95 earned run average. 

WHAT:  An introductory training opportunity for those who want to gain knowledge and understanding in helping people with their problems. This event is open to ministry leaders and lay people serving in local churches or other community organizations. It is for anyone desiring to draw near to the hurting and broken with the love of Christ, applying the Gospel as the agent of transformation. It includes six teaching sessions and a Q&A panel. A complete list of session titles will be available soon.
