poolsFour Pools Remain Open
Four of Reston Association's 15 pools will remain open through Labor Day weekend. They include Lake Newport, Glade, North Shore and Ridge Heights. RA's other 11 pools will close for the year this Sunday. Click here to view the pool schedule.
paidparkingRTC Paid Parking Next Month
Paid-parking in Reston Town Center begins Monday, Sept. 12. Anyone parking in town center garages on weekdays will have to pay varying rates, from $2 for the first hour, up to $24 for 12 or more hours. There are separate short-term rates for street parking. Click here for more information about RTC's new paid-parking system.

Parents, drop off your kids for a morning packed with outdoor activity. Kids, top off your summer with a walk on the wild side. Activities will include an "I Spy" nature adventure, fishing in Lake Audubon, creeking for critters in the stream, a trailside snack and a natural craft to take home.

Calling all shutter bugs! Bring your digital cameras, and search the trails for a list of interesting and creative pictures to compose. Gather back at Nature House where we will enjoy refreshments and share your favorite photos. Awards will be presented in kids and adult categories.

Get a jump start on your Labor Day holiday with some fun around a crackling campfire. Roast a hot dog and make a s'more. Stomp your feet, sing some songs and enjoy the last weekend of summer.

Reston Association is a sponsor of the Jazz Festival at Lake Anne. Various local and nationally known musicians will play throughout the day. The event is part of Jazz Week (Aug. 26-Sept. 3) at Lake Anne. Click here for more information about the festival and to view a list of performers.

Reston Triathlon organizers are seeking volunteers for their race on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 5-11 a.m. The Reston Triathlon is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors composed entirely of volunteers. For safety and success, the race relies on local volunteers. Shifts, responsibilities, and arrival times vary. Click here for more information or to sign up.
