Board OKs Lake House Funding
|
The Reston Association Board of Directors last week approved moving $430,000 from the Operating Fund bank account to the Lake House Fund bank account to pay for cost overages associated with the renovation of the property. Moving the cash will not impact other capital projects or member assessments. Read more.

Triathlon Benefit this Sunday

Sunday, June 5 7 a.m. Begins at Lake Newport Pool.
The 10th Annual Reston Sprint Triathlon will benefit Cornerstones. More than 600 participants will swim in the pool, bike on Reston Parkway, Wiehle Avenue and Baron Cameron Avenue, and then finish with a 5K run on Reston Association pathways north of the pool and through North Hills Park. The Lake Newport parking lot will close beginning Friday, June 4. The pool will open to members at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Please contact aquaticsinfo@reston.org if you have questions about this event.

Join us Sunday mornings for a heated pool workout. A combination deep and shallow class (students may stay in shallow water if desired) set to upbeat tunes for a weekend wake-up.

Enjoy a guided nature walk and look for a series of fun items to count. 1 log to walk along, 2 large rocks, 3 birds in the sky - give your child a head start on preschool skills and a chance to notice numbers in our natural world. Public Parkway Meeting

The Virginia Department of Transportation is holding public information meetings on a multimodal study of the 31-mile Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286) corridor from Route 7 to Route 1. The study is assessing existing transportation issues and developing short-term multimodal improvements that can be implemented within the next one to 10 years. Reston Lake Cleanup

Join fellow boaters and lake enthusiasts for the 10th Annual Lake Cleanup. We are looking for volunteers to get on their boats and to walk the shorelines to collect as much trash as possible.Supplies will be available at each lake.
