Annual Meeting Open to All Members

Residents are invited to the 2016 Annual Meeting of Reston Association on April 12. The meeting will include comments from local and state elected representatives about issues related to Reston and the entire region. RA presentations will provide a look at the past year's accomplishments and update residents on what lies ahead for the Reston community in the next year and beyond. Results of the Board of Directors' election will be announced and volunteers of the year will be recognized. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at RA headquarters, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive.

Saturday, April 9
10 a.m.-4p.m.
Lake Anne Plaza.

This year's celebration of Reston and its founder, Robert E. Simon, Jr., will feature a 50-foot Ferris wheel sponsored by Reston Association. Other activities will include a tour around the plaza, music and comments from elected officials.
 
Founder's Day is presented by Reston Historic Trust and Museum, Reston Association, Reston Community Center, Initiative for Public Art - Reston and Lake Anne of Reston Condominium Association. Click here to read more about Founder's Day at Lake Anne.
ALERT: The fourth annual Runners Marathon of Reston will be held Sunday, April 10 beginning at 7:30 a.m. Use of area roads and RA pathways might be temporarily impacted. Race details here.

Become familiar with the regional transit systems through an innovative transportation experience. Ride the MATT (Mobile Accessible Travel Training) bus and learn travel training tips by learning to read bus schedules and route maps, pay fares and signal to the driver to stop. The bus will stop at the Silver Line where participants will learn how to purchase Metrorail fare cards, load a provided SmarTrip card and read the rail system map. Registration is required.  RA's volunteer program consists of members in our community working in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are RA's strongest line of communication with the community. Each year a diverse group of RA members donates thousands of hours to the association. Through their dedication, we are able to provide a wide range of high-quality programs, services and events that make Reston a great place to Live, Work, Play and Get Involved.

Join thousands of volunteers in a multi-state effort as we do our part in cleaning up the Potomac Watershed. Reston Association is hosting several sites along Snakeden Branch and Colvin Run, two tributaries to the Potomac River.
