Reston Association tennis instructor, Jim Elder, has been selected to receive a 2016 Best of Reston Community Service Award. Elder is being honored as the top "Individual Community Leader."

The winner of the 2016 "Civic Community Organization" category is Friends of Reston for Community Projects Inc. (pictured above), which is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Its mission is to support Reston Association in performing charitable, educational and scientific purposes.

Voting in the 2016 Election begins at 5 p.m. on March 7 and runs through April 4.

 RA's volunteer program consists of members in our community working in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are RA's strongest line of communication with the community. Each year a diverse group of RA members donates thousands of hours to the association. Through their dedication, we are able to provide a wide range of high-quality programs, services and events that make Reston a great place to Live, Work, Play and Get Involved.  

DRBServe Reston - Join the DRB
Reston Association is seeking members to serve on the Design Review Board in three volunteer leadership positions. All terms are for three years.
The Design Review Board interprets, administers and renders decisions involving the design covenants in accordance with the Design Guidelines of Reston Association. Through this role, members of the DRB have an opportunity to impact the future of Reston. Open positions include:

Design professional (2 seats): Architect, land planner, or landscape architect.

Lay Member (1 seat): Need not be a design professional.

If you are interested in applying to be a member of the DRB, please fill out the Committee Volunteer Application form and submit it via email to stadele@reston.org by 5 p.m. March 4.
