Artist rendering of village center.
The Lake Anne revitalization project's main developer, Lake Anne Development Partners (LADP), said last week that its public-private partnership with Fairfax County to redevelop the Crescent Apartments and the Lake Anne Village Center is no longer considered economically viable.
Therefore, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and LADP are in the process of terminating their current contract.

The plan to renovate the apartments and the commercial plaza area at Lake Anne was going to be done in phases, taking more than a decade to complete. After years of debate and discussion, the plan was approved in early 2015, but the work never began. Click here to read more.

RA's volunteer program consists of members in our community working in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are RA's strongest line of communication with the community. Each year a diverse group of RA members donates thousands of hours to the association. Through their dedication, we are able to provide a wide range of high-quality programs, services and events that make Reston a great place to Live, Work, Play and Get Involved.

multimodalMultimodal Committee Forming
The Multimodal Transportation Advisory Committee was established by the Board of Directors in Sept. 2015 in support of its strategic focus on leading sustainable change in Reston.

Reston Association is now seeking volunteers to participate as members of this committee. To apply for appointment, download a Committee Volunteer Application Form and submit to Sabrina Tadele no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 using the instructions on the form.
