METRORAIL SILVER LINE

Reston Station The new Silver Line will provide transportation from Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington. The first phase of the Silver Line opened on July 26, 2014. Click here for more information on the Silver Line and the Wiehle-Reston East station.

Notice: Bright Pond Dredging
|
As part of routine maintenance, the dredging of Bright Pond will begin next week. Equipment will arrive at the site today, and certain points along the nearby pathway with be cordoned off. The project will take several weeks to complete. Contact paul@reston.org for more information.

Two Pools Remain Open
|
Reston Association's pool season is coming to a close, but two heated pools will remain open through Sept. 28. North Shore and Ridge Heights pools will operate on the following schedule:
- Weekdays: 3-7 p.m.
- Weekends: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Ninety-five families will be selling a variety of items. Vendor space is sold out. In case of rain in the forecast, call 703-435-6577 the morning of the event for a recorded advisory. No calls for vendor space please.

Find out what they like to eat and why their antlers are so important.

Plants will thrive in the rich organic soil that your composting efforts provide. Also learn how kitchen waste and other yard debris can be composted right in your own backyard. Tennis Tourney to Raise Funds

Money raised from the Rally for a Cause tennis tournament will go to Cornerstones and the USTA Foundation. There will be men's and women's singles and doubles matches. There is a $30 donation for each player. Registration is now open. Click here for more information.

Beat the Bush Honeysuckle

Reston Association needs volunteers to remove bush honeysuckle and garlic mustard surrounding the Oldfield tot lot. Meet at the Oldfield tot lot, and park along Oldfield Drive. The entrance steps are located between 10803 and 10807 Oldfield Drive.
