Reston Station The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is constructing a 23-mile extension of the Metrorail system, which will be operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority from East Falls Church to Washington Dulles International Airport. The extension will serve the Reston-Herndon area, the state's second largest employment concentration. It will provide a one-seat ride from Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington. New Reston Maps Available
|
Reston Association recently updated its map of the area. The maps are available at RA headquarters (Member Services), the Central Services Facility and the Nature House.The Initiative for Public Art - Reston (IPAR) partnered with RA in helping produce the enhanced map, which now includes locations of public art displays as well as schools, RA trails, shopping centers and much more.

Museum Seeks Transcribers Storycatcher Productions, along with the Reston Museum, is seeking volunteers to transcribe video interviews for a documentary film on the 50 years of history of Reston. Transcribers will receive a "thank you" credit in the film. You can learn about the history of this unique planned community as you transcribe the interviews from your home. If interested, please contact Suzi Jones via e-mail at JSJLJONES@aol.com. You will be sent a description of the film project along with transcriber instructions and an example of a transcription. |

MLK Jr. Day of Service Saturday, Jan. 19 9 a.m.-Noon
Southgate Community Center, 12125 Pinecrest Road.
All ages are welcome. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
Join us for the MLK Day of Service. Reston Association is partnering with several organizations, including Reston and Southgate Community Centers, Reston Interfaith and the Closet Inc., to conduct several service projects.
