Celebrating the Laguna Bluebelt

Happy New Year!

Laguna has a lot to celebrate this New Year, especially the Laguna Bluebelt.  We are commemorating our one year anniversary with a Second Annual Bluebelt Photo Contest - a wonderful opportunity to showcase Laguna's beautiful Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).

Already snorkelers and divers are reporting an enhanced marine environment with larger, more diverse marine life.  So, if you don't already have a photo, grab your camera and take a picture to enter the contest and win a great prize!

Share Your Photos with Us to Enter to Win A Cool Prize

Just send us your photo (one per person) before January 18th taken within one of Laguna's Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) shot from January 2012 through January 2013.  Send it's location and date to info@lagunabluebelt.org.  It can be of anything within one of our MPAs that interests you - your family & friends enjoying the beach, the tidepools or ocean, the bird or marine life that depend on it, just any part of this special place.

The winners will be announced on Underwater Parks Day, January 21st.  The lucky winners will receive terrific prizes and we will post your photos on our website.  Check out last year's winners to get inspired!

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to the restoration of our marine life.  I look forward to seeing your photographs of our exciting MPAs.

Happy New Year!

Join to Support our Local Efforts

Your support is vital to the success of our marine reserves.   It takes everyone to make it a success.  Lifeguards have been at the vanguard of protecting both human and marine life and were instrumental in the establishment of the Heisler Park Marine Reserve.

We deeply appreciate the commitment and support all of you have given as we work to make this a reality.  It can't happen without each of you. Thank You!
