In LaGrange County, a vast part of our community thrives on the manufacturing of many products. We are proud of our advanced manufacturing sector in our community, and we strive to improve it in any way we can. The importance of manufacturing throughout LaGrange County is limitless. To illustrate this, the creators of the Manufacturing Institute website provide a thorough analysis of the different areas of manufacturing, as well as current statistics regarding manufacturing success.  Did you know that U.S. based manufacturing is the world's tenth largest economy? In other words, if manufacturing were its own country, it would rank as the tenth largest economy in the world. Manufacturing has also substantially increased American consumers' standard of living, as well as adding many other benefits. The Manufacturing Institute gives numerous facts that show just how important manufacturing is. Not only is manufacturing a large part of life throughout LaGrange County, it also remains just as important for the rest of the world around us.

Business Attraction News
We've been quite busy here at the LaGrange County EDC. In fact, LaGrange County has two new attraction projects that call LaGrange County home: Lake Area Designs, LLC and Exo-S US, LLC.
Lake Area Designs, LLC specializes in designing and building custom wood molding, doors, and furniture for home buildings, commercial construction, and recreational vehicles. The company brought LaGrange County 11 new employees, and are expecting to hire 34 more by 2016.
Exo-S US, LLC is a a fully integrated supplier of global engineered injection and blow molded thermoplastic systems for the automotive and specialty markets. In total Exo-s employs more than 600 people in the United States and Canada. Their LaGrange County facility expects to employ 250 people and continue to grow from there. Exo-S US, LLC expects the move to be completed in 2014 and to increase its workforce by 20% over the next 18 months.
