The Overlook Opens Memorial Weekend

There's something new opening at the Zoo, and this time we aren't talking about Encounter Africa. The Overlook is a new café that will cater to our adult guests. Featuring a daily gourmet-chef- inspired menu, it will be anyone's guess what Executive Chef Nathan Dirnberger will be offering.

The first time the doors to the elephant barn opened, the elephants practically ran outside. But when animal keepers opened the doors for our black rhino, Jumbe, they waited, and waited... and waited for him to appear...
It seems Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has a shy rhino.

Q4C Donations
Total More Than Half Million
|
Since 2008, your Quarters for Conservation (Q4C) votes at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo have enabled us to donate more than half a million dollars for wildlife conservation programs around the world! From May 1, 2012 through April, 30 2013, Q4C raised a grand total of $119,369.16 to support conservation programs locally and globally.
