Dear Grace,
The Psalmist instructs us, "Make a Joyful noise unto God, all the earth; come into God's presence with singing!"
Sunday was a glorious celebration of the music ministries of Sue Goddard and Andy Singletary. Thank you to everyone who came, invited others, offered gifts and testimonies and prepared the reception. I know you join me in keeping Sue and Andy in our prayers.
As we move into the music ministry transition, I'd like to share some updates and put some important dates on your calendar. Feel free to be in touch if you have questions or if you would like more information. We hope you will lend your gifts in continuing to make a joyful noise.
First, Chuck Bell will be our interim director of music ministries while we continue our search for a permanent Director of Music and Worship Arts. Chuck will begin on Sunday April 17th and be with us through June. He brings vast experience in church music leadership and consulting.

Music Interest Meeting, Sunday April 24th, 12:15-12:30pm, Sanctuary
If you have musical gifts or an interest in getting involved (from ringing a chime to singing to playing an instrument), then this gathering is for you. Chuck wants to get to know you and the many gifts of our congregation. And it's for ALL AGES-children and youth are encouraged to attend.
Second, the search committee has selected one superb finalist for the Director of Music and Worship Arts position, after a very competitive search with fifteen applicants.

On Sunday April 17th, the finalist will rehearse with the choir at 12:30pm and then lead music in the sanctuary at 1pm. All members and friends of Grace are invited to attend.
Finally, this Sunday, April 10th, Rev. Barbara Day Miller will lead our music. Rev. Miller serves as the Associate Dean of Worship and Music at Candler School of Theology, retiring this spring. She brings a myriad of experiences in worship leadership, including in local churches and at The United Methodist General Conference. We are grateful for her leadership at Grace-you are in for a treat!
If you would like to sing with the choir, you are invited to rehearse in the 2nd floor conference room Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
Grace has always been a congregation that makes a joyful noise to the Lord and our praise of God will continue in our next chapter of music ministry together.
See you all for worship on Sunday and think about who you can invite!
Grace and Peace,
Kate
