Like the crocus asleep beneath the snow, the future lies dormant within the present.
When snow is deep and cold upon the earth, we dream of springtime's sweet and gentle sun awakening the ground below. At times we wish it would hurry, please hurry! We feel we cannot bear even one more moment of grey skies and frozen earth. We long to see again the colors of blooming things.
But let's remember that even though the flowering happens in its own time, it happens without fail. Patience is paramount.
This is nature's gift to us: the gift of the knowledge of never-ending renewal, reminding us that even the darkest days of winter must come to an end. When all seems hopeless, hope itself will carry us forward with its promise of warmth. We can safely rely upon the eternal cycle of life.
In this season of yearning, I wish you dreams fulfilled and love coming to flower.
