As the year draws inexorably to a close, let us not look back on the undesirable things it may have brought. Let us look forward, instead, to the good things the future might bring.
Most especially, let us reflect on the ways in which we ourselves can be architects of that future, both in our private world and in the world around us.

Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

Let us celebrate our growth and learning, and if we resolve anything, let it be to keep on growing, learning, and loving!

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched.
