Possibility Mood Lady

Possibility is everywhere. This is one of the main principles that serve as a foundation in my coaching (and my life!). It's not always easy to see this - especially when we are going through a challenging time or when things aren't going the way we had planned. That's probably why I find it so rewarding to do the work that I do. I hold the space for people so that when they are ready to see it, they'll be able to recognize this truth as well.

When you are open to ALL that is possible, amazing things can happen. I thought I'd give you an example from my own life that is very relevant right now. Recently, I did a favorite exercise with a client meant to help her tap into her direction in life and honor what SHE wants rather than what others say is important. So the exercise is this: Imagine yourself at 100 years old. You have 2 scenarios: 1) You are at your birthday party reflecting on your life. You are totally satisfied with all you have been and done and have absolutely no regrets because...and then you make a list. And 2) You are at that same birthday party, reflecting on your life. It has been a pretty good life and you have a few regrets because...and you make another list.

I've done that exercise over the years with quite a few clients. But for some reason when I did it this last time, I remembered how I had done it with my own coach about 5 years ago. And I got curious about what I had written. So I found the paper & there was some great stuff on there. There were so many things that I'm doing right now - living in that way where I will have no regrets. And reading it today, the most exciting entry on the list was:  

• I've made contributions to my community and to the world--a book of some sort (or maybe books!) that made people think and feel; some creative product that reminds people of the importance of connection 

Of course now when I read that, I think of the Mood Ladies. The set of cards is definitely a creative product that reminds people of the importance of connection (with oneself, which is where it all starts). And I know that by writing down those words I was most definitely connecting with the possibility of the Mood Ladies- even though they weren't born yet.

This week is a big week for the Ladies. They will be part of the DailyOM Deal of the day promotion that starts on Wednesday, August 7th and lasts through Tuesday, August 13th. This promotion goes out to 1.2 million subscribers. It feels exciting and as if a new stage of my coaching has begun. If THAT is possible, then what ELSE might be possible?

And now I turn it over to you...What are some things that have happened in your life that you never thought or knew were possible? And what's next for you right now? What are some possibilities that you'd like to explore? I invite you to be on the lookout for possibilities this month. My favorite kind are the ones that seem a bit impossible at the time. Impossible possibilities - I find that very inspiring! Sometimes all you have is the dream or a feeling that you want to follow. I guarantee you that this is enough. So be open, explore and see what's out there - either just around the corner or maybe a bit further away. If the Mood Ladies can do it, I know you can too!
