Mailbag Grab Bag
"I travel all over Michigan and beyond, hauling my horses Cody and Calvin in a two-horse trailer with my Minnie Winnie. There were many options for camping with my horses, but I did my research and the Minnie Winnie was the motorhome other "horse folks" recommended.
"The Minnie Winnie pulls my trailer really well, and having the nice living quarters makes my trips even more enjoyable. Horse folks have a lot of options when it comes to camping, but "living quarter" horse trailers don't have the room my Minnie Winnie does.
"Many times I camp where there is no electricity, but I am fully operational with battery power and added solar panels on the roof to keep my batteries charged. The living space is awesome, and I love the hauling capability of the Minnie Winnie. Thanks!"

Hidden Gem: Chickasaw National Recreation Area
|

For this issue's Hidden Gem, we go north and west -- of Texas, that is. To Oklahoma, and its gorgeous Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
Located off I-35 about an hour south of Oklahoma City, this park's roots go back more than 100 years -- and one visit will make you understand why it's been drawing visitors ever since.
Bubbling mineral and freshwater springs, rushing creeks and -- since 1966 -- the fabulous fishing of Lake of the Arbuckles appeal to water lovers of all types. Add in travertine ledges, eastern forest and western prairie, hiking and horseback trails, plus a century of history and you'll see what makes Chickasaw so special.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area has 62 RV hookups; reservations are highly recommended.
For more information, visit the National Park Service or Travel Oklahoma.
For campsite reservations visit www.recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777. Chickasaw National Recreation Area cannot make reservations.

July 21 - 26: We're Throwing a Party, and You're Invited!
Every July, there's one place to be for owners of Winnebago Industries' RVs. Where you'll find everything from a classic Brave to a brand-new Ellipse, not to mention proud and friendly owners eager to show them off.
It's the Grand National Rally, the annual "homecoming" for our RVs. It's one of the many benefits of membership in the WIT Club (our owners club), and it's a chance for owners and their families to... - Meet new friends
- Catch up with old friends
- Kick up your heels
- Kick back and relax
- Learn more about how we build 'em with special in-depth factory tours
- Pick up valuable tips at more than 75 seminars
- Take home a few mementos at the vendor booths and arts and crafts aisles
And, of course, there will be a host of activities, tours and excursions geared toward specific interests, whether it's exploring nature or the country's largest shopping mall. If you've been to "the Big One" before, you'll love what's new for 2013, including: - Fabulous entertainment from national acts like John Michael Montgomery and Jay and the Americans
- Camp Freightliner (usually available only at the Freightliner factory), a comprehensive and captivating two-day workshop following the Rally
- Site-wide Wi-Fi
- New food choices, including Marti's Saloon
- A full schedule of youth activities every day
- Book swap
- Updated grounds
- And much more!
And if you've never been, you really should join us this year. So come on home, to the Grand National Rally, July 21 - 26 in Forest City! |

2013 Visitor Center Launches
It's not exactly a new model, but the Winnebago Industries Visitor Center here in Forest City is undergoing a transformation of sorts, with updates and enhancements.
Among the highlights:
- We've added new digital presentations to provide a more dynamic experience for visitors. This also allows us to easily update those presentations to keep them fresh.
- "Winnie's Caf" is now welcoming you to enjoy a cup of coffee and surf the free WiFi available in the facility.
- The new Winnebago Outdoor store is open, offering souvenirs from Winnebago Industries as well as the chance to buy unique, locally produced items, such as wine, from the area.
Like our famous Factory Tours, the Visitor Center is one more reason to put Forest City on your next trip itinerary.
