Prime Destination - Acadia National Park, Maine

Established in 1919 as Lafeyette National Park (making it the first national park east of the Mississippi River), Acadia National Park today comprises more than 47,000 acres of Mount Desert and the surrounding islands off the coast of Maine.

A haven for artists and outdoor lovers for more than 150 years, Acadia today features more than 100 miles of hiking trails, a fabulous network of more than 50 miles of carriage paths built by John D. Rockefeller, stunning views at every turn, and not-to-be-missed popovers at Jordan Pond House.

While the park is open year-round, some facilities are only open seasonally, so check before you go.

Spotlight on View Profile / Navion iQ 24V

Navion Exteriof The Winnebago View and Itasca Navion launched a revolution when they were introduced. The first motor homes in North America based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, they were attractive, nimble, surprisingly spacious and incredibly fuel-efficient.

  Navion Flex Bed

The Navion iQ and View Profile followed, and like the View and Navion themselves, they just keep getting better.  Recent

enhancements have increased both power and fuel economy across the board, while our new 24V floorplan brings an added level of flexibility.

The sleek 24V comes fully equipped with slideout, Ultraleather swivel cab seats, LED lighting and our Comfort Sofa/Sleeper or available Ultraleather sectional dinette.  And back in the bedroom, our innovative Flex Bed system converts easily from twin beds to a king, giving you the ultimate in sleeping flexibility.

In a nutshell, the new 24V is a wonderful option for RVers who value efficiency, comfort, attractiveness and like to keep their options open.

If that sounds like you, we invite you to learn more about the View Profile and Navion iQ online, or check them out in person at your nearest dealer.  We think you'll like what you see!

Two motor homes, 40 years  (and  counting)!Chieftain 98

Some RVers trade one motor home for another fairly frequently.  (Did we mention that they're some of our favorite people?)  Others find a coach they love and keep it for quite some time.

Then there's Glenn and Judy Cannon of Hubbard, Texas, who have owned a whopping total of two motor homes over 40 years of RVing.  As Glenn tells it:

"Our first Winnie was a 1972 28' Chieftain.  We used it for 26 years; that was a good unit!

"Then we purchased a 1998 Chieftain 36' that we have enjoyed fully.  We have upgraded it to keep pace with our lifestyle:  First we added a Red Devil Vacuum system, then a Sleep Number bed, plus a Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer. Since you build coaches so well, we plan on keeping this one for a long time."

Thanks for the kind words Glenn.  A small token of our esteem is on its way.  And if you have a story or recipe to share, please let us know!
