What Some of Our Clients Have to Say About Dynamite Coaching:
"Mark had been my career coach years ago while in Edmonton and coached me in creating a solid foundation for my business. After years of using my new found skills, I moved to Vancouver and found myself needing the services of a career coach and Mark was the first person that came to mind."
"Mark has this innate ability to allow one to work through areas they wish to improve on and come up with a solution on their own. This of course creates ownership of positive change. Mark also has this incredible way of taking a situation or problem that seems to have the illusion of no solution and leave his client feeling like everything can be solved and even made better. I developed such incredible confidence and strength while being coached by Mark and as a result, my work environment improved drastically. I felt Mark provided me direction, solutions, thought provoking initiative and positive energy through every coaching session."
"I would highly recommend Mark for coaching with any type of occupation or employment level."

Interesting points from Noah, as he prepared for his historic trip in the ark:
- Don't miss the boat.
- Remember that we are all in the same boat.
- Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
- Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
- Don't listen to critics, just get on with it; the job needs to be done.
- Build your future on high ground.
- For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
- Speed isn't always an advantage - the snails were on board with the cheetahs.
- When you're stressed, float a while.
- Remember, the ark was built by amateurs, the Titanic by professionals.
- No matter the storm, when you are with God there's always a rainbow waiting.

Holy Cocoa Bananas Batman! Look at the Speed We're Living!
Ever catch yourself asking the world to stop so you can just get off for a while, or feel like things are moving too fast? In the age we live in we're being asked to do more and pack more into our lives, while at the same time we're taking less and less time to relax, think and plan out our next steps. Before we know it, days, months or even years have gone by leaving us wondering where the time has gone.
It's no one's fault necessarily. No one plans to fail, but we might be failing to plan.
Remember the story of the man cutting down the tree? It goes something like this. At sunrise, with his trusty axe in tow, he sets to work chopping down a tree. Just as he starts, a passer-by on his way to work greets him with a hearty good morning. Later that evening, as the passer-by heads home, he notices the man still hard at work chopping down that very same tree. He approaches the man and asks if he's been working at this all day. With a short reply the man answers "Yup."
"Why haven't you stopped to sharpen your axe"? he asks
"I don't have time to stop and sharpen my axe." "I'm too busy chopping down this tree."
Isn't it true, we can all get caught in the flow of our own busy lives saying tomorrow I'll stop, figure things out, and make plans because today I'm too busy? This can be costly.
In business, taking the time to secure a vision for your company is critical. Conversely, not having a plan can be lethal. It can be the difference between whether your company is around in 5 years or not.
And in your personal life, having a vision is no less critical. It can be the difference between whether you end up living the life you want or not.
Without question, the speed at which we live has gotten faster and faster and our level of anxiety has risen, as we try to keep up with everything that is coming our way.
Until the 1900's, human knowledge doubled approximately every century. By the end of World War II, knowledge was doubling every 25 years. Today things are not as simple, as different types of knowledge have different rates of growth. For example, nanotechnology knowledge is said to be doubling every two years and clinical knowledge every 18 months. But on average, the reports say human knowledge is doubling every 13 months.
And one "far out there" report even claims that one day soon we could see knowledge doubling as quickly as every 12 hours.
Holy Cocoa Banana's Batman!! Talk about feeling like your trying to drink from a fire hose.
The world of technology and information is changing faster than ever before and we are being asked to rapidly adapt and change to keep up. This is putting a great deal of pressure on our ability to cope with everything that is coming down the pipe. Our minds are being forced to think faster, be more versatile and focus on more things all at the same time (progressive multi-tasking).
Yet brain research says the mind works best and is most creative when it is relaxed and slows down. Something that is very hard to achieve in this day and age where we have the ability to reach someone any time of day or night through cell phone calls, texting, email and tweeting. And this doesn't include the other mediums such as Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
No matter how you look at it, this would appear to be a challenge for us as our brains never really get to unplug and shut off.
So how do we slow the brain down?
You hire a coach.
No, I'm not being funny or self-promoting, well, maybe a little self-promoting. But it's true. Research from Gallup Polls and studies from the Harvard Business Review are reporting that employing a coach or learning coach-like approach methodologies are having significant impacts on employee satisfaction surveys. Managers using coach or coach-like methodologies are seeing as much as 6x more production in their departments compared to others who aren't using coach-like methods. And employees are reporting more satisfaction with their jobs, greater happiness and are measuring greater progress in their work.
Coaching is not just for athletes anymore. In fact Coaching isn't even coaching the way we may have known it to be when we were kids. It's not the red faced guy in sweat pants blowing his whistle and yelling for you to drop and give him twenty.
Professional Coaching is where you are guided through a solution focused conversation that slows the brain down and allows for individuals and teams to engage the most expansive parts of their mind and come up with a set of solutions that best match their own unique situations.
Over the past 5 years, I've had the privilege of coaching with some amazing people both individually and in teams, and I have seen first-hand what happens when someone takes time to step back from their busy lives to think about what they want.
They move mountains.
They clear hurdles.
They overcome those barriers and obstacles that for them once seemed so incredibly impossible to overcome. They move forward.
But to get there, they realized they needed to stop and sharpen their axe. They needed to take time to slow down their world and tap into their greatest resource, their own knowledge system.
They partnered with a coach.
What might be your reason for slowing down? And why is that important to you?
Find out. Take me up on my offer of a no-obligation, complimentary coaching session to see what you are capable of when you slow "your" world down.
So sharpen your axe, slow your world down and watch your success speed up.
Holy Cocoa Bananas Batman! This is so crazy it just might work.
