Grade 4
The fourth grade students took a study trip to Corydon, Indiana's first state capital!  While they were there, they visited the capital building, the historic home of Indiana's first governor Jonathan Jennings, and Zimmerman's Art Glass.

Students in Mrs. Clark's fourth grade science classes constructed ramps to race matchbox cars and measure the velocity of the car.  Each group did a great job!  As Mrs. Haas said when she came into the classroom during this activity, "Who knew science could be so fun!?"

Laura Strahm

Annie Jr. features many of the popular characters and songs from the full-length musical but is condensed into just over an hour.  Show times are May 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robinson Auditorium at Providence.  Tickets are $5 general admission and will be sold at the door.
Box Tops for Education
We received a check this week from Box Tops for Education for $580.20!! Thank you to all who have been clipping and sending in box tops.  A special thank you to Katie Murray for all her hard work on this project!!!
Please continue to save those box tops and send them in for next school year.

Grade 1
Mrs. Bruggeman's class and Mrs. Brock/Mrs. Chrisco's class invited all the Mom's to their classrooms last week to show them love and appreciation for being such amazing Moms!!

Mrs. Bruggeman's first graders had fun digging through their teacher's "trash" and drawing conclusions from what they found in her trash!  Mrs. Bruggeman didn't even have to tell her class that she likes to shop and that she likes things clean.  The class drew their own conclusions from what they already knew and from what they discovered in her trash.  They also enjoyed playing a matching game where they practiced drawing conclusions!

Grade 2
Mrs. Naville & Mrs. Barber's second grade classes enjoyed "Baseball Day" on Monday.

Kindergarten
Mrs. Kist's class had so much fun participating in the Rainbow Rock Project.  They decorated rocks with rainbows and inspirational messages and left their rocks somewhere in our community for others to find in hopes of spreading kindness!  Be on the lookout for one of their rocks!  You never know where you will find one!

Thank You JPII Parents!
The JPII parents group sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers to the teachers on Tuesday for National Teacher Appreciation Week!
