Market Day
Market Day has sold out to World's Finest Chocolate and no longer does the  school grocery shopping fundraisers.  We know their pies will be sadly missed during the holidays!
Morning Drop Off November 19 & 20
On the mornings of Thursday, November 19 and Friday, November 20 there will be a few extra cars in the Activity Center Parking Lot.  This lot will be used for parking for those attending NCYC with the Youth Ministry Group.  We are unsure of how many cars this will involve.  As always, there will be staff on duty to help with parking.

Everyday there is another drop off option available.  Students may be dropped off at the parking lot (playground) between the two day care buildings and pull up to the bottom of the stairs and have your child exit there.  Adult supervision is provided there and as they go between the school buildings.
INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
St. John Paul II Catholic School will use the following procedure for inclement weather days: To allow St. John Paul II Catholic School to take advantage of the results of the West Clark team's study of road conditions while having the ability to potentially lessen the number of school days missed we will follow this procedure:
  • All St. John Paul II Catholic School closings, delays, and early dismissals will be announced through the media separate from West Clark.
  • So, our families will look for St. John Paul II Catholic School to be announced on WDRB and WDRB.com.
  • Most of the time we will follow the results of the road condition research completed by West Clark's team. There may be times when it could be judged safe to remain open on a day that West Clark is closed, and announcing our school separately will give us the ability to do this.
  • If St. John Paul II Catholic School is not listed, then we would be open.
  • Please look to WDRB News and/or WDRB.com for our closing and delay announcements. This is the only news outlet that will be announcing our closings and delays.
  • WDRB has a free service that will send you a text message when a JPII announcement is posted. These services have been proven a timely way to receive the information. If you would like to receive these alerts click on http://my.textcaster.com/asa/Default.aspx?ID=c4f69af1-fcf8-4a83-b929-f0ed22af349a to sign up.  Or you can go to WDRB.com, click on Weather, and then Snow Fox Text Alerts and follow the prompts.  We have been in contact with WDRB and if you have signed up previously with St. Paul it will automatically change it to St. John Paul II.

Second Grade First Reconciliation

The second graders spent Saturday morning preparing for their First Reconciliation.  They watched an Act of Contrition play, made a 10 Commandments keychain, and spent time with their family in prayer.

Grade 1
Mrs. Bruggeman's first graders have been busy readers in first grade!  They have had fun comparing and contrasting characters from different Thanksgiving stories.  They even got to taste test honey after reading and learning facts about honey bees.  Most of them loved how sweet the honey tasted!

Kindergarten
Mrs. Kist's class led our very special Thanksgiving Mass today.  Many families will have a wonderful holiday due to your generosity!  A big "thank you" to our St. John Paul II School Family!
