Watsi is an online crowd-funding platform devoted to sponsoring the medical care of specific individuals.

 

In 2013, Watsi and AMHF have collaborated to sponsor surgeries for over 250 needy patients in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.

AMHF supports Sudan Medical Relief, directed by Dr. Jill Seaman, former Macarthur "Genius" fellow.  Her clinic cares for 40,000 clients annually, most with infectious diseases such as malaria, TB, and the parasite kala azar.

Katawa Clinic near Lake Malawi assists 30,000 clients annually--with an incredible 10,000 having malaria--without electricity.  AMHF provides the majority of the clinic's operating support for supplies and staff.
