Residents,
Please do your part to help prepare and take a moment to read the important reminders below (doing so may save you a lot of headache and property damage):
- IF YOU ARE OUT OF TOWN AND DID NOT LEAVE YOUR HEAT ON PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE IMMEDIALTEY SO THAT WE CAN HAVE SOMEONE GO TO YOUR HOME AND TURN IT ON.
- BEFORE YOU LEAVE Please set your heat to 55 degrees or higher. This will help to prevent frozen pipes and leaks.
- Lack of heat is considered an emergency, please call our Facilities Department at 971-6811 should you ever experience a loss of heat. Be sure to select the appropriate option for an emergency situation if you are calling after hours.
- Under extremely cold conditions, leave bathroom and the vanity doors open under your sinks so that heat will be sure to reach the pipes when it's especially cold. By following this advice you reduce the risk of freezing pipes, which can cause a large water leak in your apartment.
- In the event that you turn your water on and no water flows from the faucet please CALL OUR MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY. This could indicate that your pipes have frozen and a burst is possible.
- If you notice a decrease in supply from your gas stove please call our maintenance department, as this may indicate a freezing issue as well.
- Lock all doors, sliding glass doors and windows
- Close all blinds
- Leave a light on or set them with a timer
- If you're leaving your car behind be sure it's locked and all valuables have been removed or hidden
- Stop your mail with the post office (https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail/)
We appreciate everyone's attention to these important reminders. If you have any questions at all please contact your property manager at the number below.
