Music Ministry

I'm still grinning ear to ear... thinking about the beautiful service for Pat's installation this past Saturday. So many people worked very hard to make it so special. I want to thank THOSE WHO PRAY TWICE.....the choir, and all the guest musicians who sang with us. A special thank you to Steve Bullock, who added so much with his energetic playing.

Just a reminder to the core choir......sleeping in is no longer an option! Back to 8:15 a.m. rehearsals on Sunday morning, beginning November 16th.

Festival Choir.....stay tuned for updates. It will be time to practice for Christmas very soon.

It's wonderful to be back and see everybody. Love to all - Mary Been

Preparing for Advent

Join us as we prepare for Advent by making Anglican prayer beads. On Wednesday, November 19 at 5:00 p.m. we will gather in the Fellowship Hall to make Anglican Prayer beads for Advent (a blue bead theme). Bring a sandwich for your dinner and join Julie Mankowsky and Karen Safstrom as we make prayer beads to pray our way through the season of Advent. Our goal is that we each make a set for ourselves and a second to share with another member of our community. For questions or more information contact Karen Safstrom. (karen.safstrom@gmail.com).

Acolytes

Parents of children in 6th grade and up are encouraged to discuss this important ministry with their youngsters. Adults are welcome too. A training session will be held on November 23rd after the 10:00 service.

We will also be starting up the Acolyte-in-Training program again this year.  In-Training acolytes process down the aisle with the senior acolytes and observe and listen during worship. The goal is to get current 4th and 5th graders to start thinking about whether they might want to serve as an acolyte when they reach 6th grade.  A sign-up sheet will be placed in the Narthex.  For more information, please contact Acolyte Coordinator, Brion Keagle (bpkeagle@gmail.com) or 978-928-5297.

Special Events

Annual Heifer Living Gift Market on the weekend of December 6th/7th following all worship services with live animals after the 10 a.m. service. Offered by Heifer Project, Rutland, MA. Take this opportunity to 'purchase' animals like pigs, chickens, or goat as a great alternative to commercial gifts. Give a gift that keeps on giving!
